Fun Times for Innkeepers at the 2016 AIHP Conference!

Most conferences have at least one dinner, or cocktail hour to break up the hard work of learning about new subjects and the concentration involved in sitting through sessions with all kinds of varied topics. The Association of Independent Hospitality Professionals (AIHP) 2016 Knowledge Sharing Summit and Marketplace gives you several opportunities for fun and recreation!

Monday is when it all gets started – after a day of lectures and learning, enjoy a Meet and Greet Reception in the Marketplace from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by a chance to hit the downtown Nashville clubs without worrying about your transportation! Buses start running a loop at 7:30 from the portico of the Sheraton Music City Hotel to downtown until midnight, when the last bus departs back to the hotel. You won’t want to miss this chance to see the acts that make Nashville one of the greatest live music scenes!

On Tuesday, from 12:00-1:00pm, eat lunch in the Marketplace and relax between sessions. At 6:30, the Nosh and Network Marketplace Reception begins with food stations and a cash bar, giving you the chance to meet fellow innkeepers and vendors in a mroe relaxed setting. The reception ends at 8:30pm.

Wednesday is the final day of the conference, and it ends with a bang! The Nashville Nights Dinner and Party is an occasion for wearing those Country Western style boots and jeans – and hats are always appropriate! You’ll have a lovely dinner followed by a live auction and music from Jacob Stiefel and the Truth – dance the night away while enjoying the cash bar. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to help residents of Flint, MI.

Even though the conference is over on Wednesday, the first ever Golf Outing at Gaylord Springs will take place on Thursday. You’ll get your exercise on 18 holes at this par-72 course while you take in the beauty of limestone cliffs and the Columbia River. Cost is only $82 – register HERE.

Every day of this new and exciting conference gives chances to learn and have fun – you won’t want to miss a minute!
