The Association of Independent Hospitality Professionals’ 2016 Conference will be its first, and they’ve decided to start out a bit differently than we’ve seen in the past. The conference will be broken up into several “paths”, or tracks of interest to different innkeepers and hoteliers. These paths include: Future Innkeeper, Back of the House, Guest Experience, Heads in Beds, and Hospitality Marketing Summit (that’s us!).
The Future Innkeeper Path promises to be the “reality check” for which aspiring innkeepers are looking. Learn from experienced innkeepers and vendors about how to get a loan, how to decide what kind of breakfast you will offer, revenue stream, and even how to choose your B&B.
Software and laundry and spas- what do they have in common? The Back of the House Path will show you! This track covers everything from choosing property management system software to care and keeping of yourself and your family while running an inn. This is great for new and experienced innkeepers.
The Guest Experience Path will teach you how to discover and promote your niche, how to develop an excellent guest stay, how to price that stay, re-imagine your common areas to maximize guest enjoyment, how to create your signature dish and much more!
Leaving behind the work on the building, the Heads in Beds Path covers technology from marketing, branding, online travel agencies (OTA’s), guest communications, even how to use today’s social media obsession to promote your business through photography.
Of course, we are particularly excited to tell you about the HMS Path – but we’ll do that in our next post about the Knowledge Sharing Summit and Marketplace!
